What is The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)?
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is an expanded program of the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) Emergency Broadband Benefit. This critical benefit helps ensure that households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare and more.
The ACP launched on December 31, 2021, under the 2021 bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. The ACP is the country’s largest internet affordability program in U.S. history and has connected households in rural and urban communities across the US. Over 21 million households nationwide have already been enrolled in the ACP.
